There are plenty of reasons to reduce packaging in the supply chain least of all reducing unwanted packaging and waste but also removing the need for unwanted plastic. Technolog turned this around recently working alongside Anglian Water by adapting and redesigning the way our products are dispatched. As per the design brief, the new packaging was specifically designed for Anglian Water based on their feedback. All the components parts for a full working system; in this case a Regulo, Cello, transducers, flow cables, batteries etc.; are in one box with all the fixtures and fittings in brown paper bags. This also has the added advantage when it comes to managing equipment required for each installation as everything needed is in one box. Small changes make a huge difference!
Since its introduction for Anglian Water, the use of this packaging system has been expanded to other customers ordering these full systems such as Thames Water.
